Sanlorenzo SL72 yacht charter for a classic Monaco coastal day

A classic flybridge and an enclosed galley give the SL72 a straightforward rhythm for a Monaco coastal day. If the party stays aboard, compare the actual three- or four-cabin plan: a documented four-room version shares three bathrooms.

The visit and its shore arrangements

The present yacht matters more than a period interior

Established models can change substantially after refits. The current saloon, cabin finish, shade and tender arrangement explain the proposed experience more accurately than an old brochure photograph. If staying overnight, ventilation and the relationship between the bedrooms and machinery spaces also deserve discussion with the operator.

It does not offer the named research yacht, a confirmed Monaco berth or a particular set of water toys. The proposal identifies the actual vessel, certified guests and embarkation details; the sleeping plan remains separate from day-charter permission.

Inside the yacht dossier

A traditional arrangement can be easy to understand

In a documented SL72 example, the main saloon and dining area sit beside an enclosed galley. Meal preparation is therefore separated from the room where guests gather. For a Monaco lunch, that can keep the table and conversation at the centre of the occasion while the crew works nearby.

The cockpit and flybridge provide outdoor alternatives. A classic open upper deck gives a broad view of the coast, but its usable area depends on tender storage, handling equipment and the fitted shade. Compare a current photograph with the plan instead of assuming that the entire deck outline is available for furniture.

Four cabins do not always mean four bathrooms

The documented 2009 yacht has a master amidships, a forward VIP and two additional guest rooms, served by three bathrooms. The master and VIP have their own facilities, while the other rooms share an arrangement. Other SL72 examples use three-cabin plans, so the model name does not settle the allocation.

For a Monaco weekend, make that distinction before inviting guests to stay aboard. Two families may be comfortable with a shared bathroom arrangement that four couples would prefer to avoid. Room photographs and the actual plan allow that choice to be made calmly, before the yacht becomes the evening's accommodation.

Compare the model at its own scale

The SL72 is approximately 22 metres long in this established series, with a 5.61-metre beam on the cited 2009 example. Individual records vary with year and measurement basis. It is a classic flybridge yacht rather than a shortened version of Sanlorenzo's newer asymmetric designs.

A coastal day near Monaco can give its spaces a straightforward purpose: a passage past the principality, lunch at a suitable stop and time outside before returning. Going towards Cap Martin or west towards Cap d'Ail should follow the weather, boarding point and available hours rather than a fixed promise to visit both directions.
