Invictus 280 CX charter for a private Monaco outing
The Invictus 280 CX keeps a Monaco outing close to the water and close to the group: open cockpit seating, forward and aft lounging, and a compact cabin for a quiet moment. Its convertible helm seat is particularly useful when the day moves from cruising to gathering around the table.
Inside the yacht dossier
The cockpit can change its role
The original 280 CX measures 8.70 metres by 2.70 metres. Its manufacturer brochure describes an L-shaped dining area whose seating can be extended by converting the helm seat. Aft, the lounging pad and platform form the other main setting. This is a compact arrangement designed to keep the social part of the day close together.
For a couple or a small group leaving Monaco, that can suit a simple programme: a coastal passage, something light to eat and time beside the sea. The cockpit changes from the place everyone sits underway to the place the party gathers at a stop. The skipper manages those changes so the deck remains usable and movement aboard stays clear.
A cabin is useful without making this a large cruising yacht
The published design includes a small cabin with seating that converts to a double berth and a separate bathroom. On a day out, the interior can be valuable for changing, storing belongings or taking a short break from the open deck. It is a compact retreat, not the multi-room accommodation found on a much larger yacht.
If the request includes an overnight stay, say so at the start. Bed dimensions, ventilation, storage and the actual charter arrangements matter more than the simple presence of a cabin. A party who mainly wants a few hours outside may place greater value on the cockpit and the fitted shade.
Give a half-day one clear focus
From an agreed boarding point around Monaco or Cap d'Ail, a short outing should have a realistic centre: a swim at a suitable location, a gentle coastal view or an unhurried stop near Beaulieu. Trying to fit several shore appointments into that window can leave very little time to enjoy the boat.
For midday use, check how the offered canopy covers the seating your party will occupy. The original brochure describes a retractable cover over the living area.
Keep the CX identity clear
The 280 CX and GT280 are distinct designs with different dimensions and deck shapes. This page concerns the classic CX cabin cruiser, supported by the historical manufacturer catalogue and an explicit Monaco charter reference. A generic listing called simply Invictus 280 is not enough to transfer every GT feature to this model.
Describe the number of guests, desired time aboard and any fixed return appointment when requesting a proposal. The actual hull determines equipment, authorised charter guests and availability. Its certified operating limits are separate from the manufacturer's design-category passenger figures, and no included toys or service package is inferred from another operator's listing.
